Historical Homes and InvestmentsMarketing Strategy for Historic Homes I have always lived in older, historic homes in different phases of restoration and have restored several homes as investments in the Asheville area. After working for 8 years with a larger traditional real estate company in Asheville, I felt that the generic all-encompassing strategy of such a company was not the most effective way to sell historic properties or attract those specific buyers that are moving to our area. Buyers of historic properties expect more than the price and a stat sheet. My goal is through my experience to provide more to those buyers than they will find anywhere else in this area and to create a marketplace that matches fine old buildings with preservation-minded buyers. I have experience working with the Historic Resources Commission and have a close working relationship with architects, general contractors, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and others who are very skilled at working on older homes. |
